Sacred Heart Ushers

Ministry's Mission:
To serve the church and parishioners by assisting during the Mass and to have a reserve of ushers to assist at other functions when our Pastor needs us.

Membership Requirements:
Any person, male or female, that has the ability to follow instructions of the lead usher. Assignments are normally for the Mass that the individual attends. On Holy Days of Obligation the schedule varies. Normally there are two meetings per year, at Easter and at Christmas.

Ministry Duties:
Make sure church is in suitable shape before Mass. Greet people and make the feel welcome. Assist in seating people. Take the collection. Select the Gift Bearers. Direct People at Holy Communion. Straighten out the church after Mass. Put away hymnals, pick up Kleenex, etc.
