Celebrating Mass
Celebrating Mass is an honor for every human being. In the Eucharist we are
given the presence of our living God, a great gift mystery and wonderful
gift. Please realize that the celebration of Mass begins with the opening
song and concludes after the closing song. To come late or to leave early
is disrespectful to this great sacrament.
Although one may be late or need to leave early occasionally, some people
are regularly late or habitually leave early. Please, honor Christ and this
holy sacrament by making every effort to be present for the entire
celebration.
It is stated in The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy from the 2nd
Vatican Council: “Mother Church earnestly desires that all the faithful be
led to full, conscious and active participation in the restoration and
promotion of the sacred liturgy” (14). Please show your full participation
in the sacrament by being on time and staying until the conclusion. |
